Manifesto of the Australian Gender Equality Council
Today the AGEC launched our Manifesto for Gender Equality, a comprehensive statement of what true gender equality looks like and what is required to achieve it. While covering 12 dimensions of work and life, it importantly identifies the causes of inequality, not just the symptoms. It will ensure we won’t stop this important work until we achieve equality for women across all dimensions of work, life and community.
The unprecedented energy and attention around gender equality makes this a moment when extraordinary progress is possible and AGEC’s Manifesto will ensure we won’t stop this important work until we get there. The manifesto will provide the framework of AGEC’s future campaigns, initiatives and priorities.
AGEC’s Manifesto is a one-page summary, with a detailed two-page document which describes each of the 12 dimensions required for change, as well as the the steps necessary to achieve gender equality
