Julia Banks is an experienced Business Leader, Company Director, General Counsel Company Secretary, and a former Member of the Parliament of Australia.
She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 as the Liberal Member for Chisholm and was the only candidate to win a seat from the Opposition in a year when the Government was returned with a one seat majority. Amidst controversy in 2018 she resigned from the Liberal Party and stood as an Independent Member of Parliament.
Banks is a passionate advocate for gender equality and is Special Advisor to Gender Equity Victoria and an ambassador for Honour A Woman, Australia.
