One prominent Indigenous woman says today is a significant day in Australia’s history.

Cobble cobble woman Megan Davis is a Professor of law and vice-chancellor at the University of New South Wales, who co-authored the Uluru statement from the heart.

She says Indigenous people want recognition in Australia’s constitution because they feel they don’t have a voice in shaping policies that affect their lives.
